With modern machinery and experienced staff, Fritz Leng manufactures carbide tools such as wire drawing dies, drawing dies for bars and tubes, mandrels and accessories — made to order, with bore diameters from 0.2 to 150 mm. The final surface finish is largely achieved by hand polishing with diamond compounds; a large stock of raw material enables delivery within 24 hours when necessary.

Every tool is made to order. Close communication with our customers matters to us, so that the specific demands of each application flow into the tool. As base material we use exclusively tungsten carbide from the world's leading suppliers — for consistent quality, tool after tool. Our large raw-material stock keeps delivery times short, within 24 hours if necessary.
Grinding: bores from 0.2 to 150 mm

The geometry is created on internal grinding machines with HF grinding spindles: diamond grinding pins shape entrance, reduction cone and bearing zone into the carbide core. Our machinery covers bore diameters from 0.2 to 150 mm — from fine-wire dies to large dies for bars and tubes.
Polishing and calibrating: by machine and by hand

Grinding is followed by polishing. Automatic polishing and calibrating machines do the groundwork — but the final surface quality is still largely achieved by hand polishing with diamond compounds. This step demands the utmost care and experience: it decides how smoothly the tool runs and what service life it reaches. Our staff's know-how in finishing has grown over decades. Inspection and marking

Every tool is checked with modern measuring equipment — inspection reports are available on request. Permanent marking is applied by needle embosser or laser, so size and identity stay readable across the tool's entire life cycle, including after later reconditioning. Continuous investment and consistent maintenance of the machinery secure high productivity at the highest precision.
